Boston Flower Show Circa 2011
For a number of years this was the official website for the Boston Flower Show. The inaugural Flower & Garden Show was in March 2010.
The Boston Flower & Garden Show is about inspiring, educating and motivating the region’s gardeners. Whether for curb appeal, backyard, kitchen, indoor, rooftop or community gardens, this is where New England’s green lovers go to discover new ideas while having fun with family and friends.

The curent site for the Boston Flower Show is found at: http://bostonflowershow.com/ where you can get the most up to date information about their next show.
Set to the backdrop of over 25 garden displays by cutting-edge landscape professionals and area nurseries, the Show will feature 28 lectures including those by top garden writers Ellen Odgen Ecker and Tovah Martin, 30 gardening demonstrations from leading experts and gardening groups such as the New England Rose Society and Ikebana International, and daily cooking segments from local gurus such as garden chef Carole Murko of Heirloom Meals and the culinary team at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. Visitors to the Show will also enjoy daily children’s gardening activities, two hundred vendors featuring hundreds of the newest products, as well as chances to take home exciting giveaways.

2011 Boston Flower & Garden Show
The 2011 Boston Flower & Garden Show is delighted to announce this year's show theme, which will explore every facet of one of the most popular and enjoyable gardening trends around…
"A Burst of Color: Celebrating the Container Garden"
Container gardening has exploded out of the humble window box to become the hottest way to add vibrancy, warmth, and drama to any size space – a sunny welcome on a city terrace, a gourmet harvest in a suburban side yard, or a fresh focal point for a mature landscape. This year’s show will focus on this popular trend by mixing examples of the endless creative possibilities of containers into all of its gardens and special displays.
- Each garden will feature at least one significant container of some kind (formal urns, topiary, raised beds, built-in planters, ceramics, vertical gardens, unusual items re-purposed as containers).
- A non-judged Invitational Display will feature container entries by invited Professional Florists & Interior Landscapers.
- “Contain Yourself!” This series of daily hands-on workshops will offer instruction and a take-home container project for participants (additional fee).
In addition to these elements, you’ll find hundreds of new products to buy, over 48 hours of lectures and demonstrations, cutting edge designs by professional florists and the region’s top amateur floral arrangers and horticulturists assembled in a vibrant display by the Massachusetts Horticultural Society and the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts Inc.
